MemberHi I have been looking for an Antivirus for my Computer…. I have tried NOD32 and I loved it but than my trial expired…. I am looking forward in trying these AV’s can you please tell me which ones are best for my computer….
1 :: eTrust EZ Armor 2005
2 :: Avast!
3 :: Rising Antivirus 2004
4 :: F-Prot
5 :: KasperskyI have Windows XP SP1 ( I am going to switch to SP2 when it comes out for personal use.) I have a cable connection so my internet is on 24/7…. I leave my computer on 24/7 and I only turn it off when it is prompted too… I use the internet alot and I am in need of an AV ASAP!
Please help me out. I have seen other topics about AV’s but none have helped… I am definately not interested in Norton or Mcafee because both of them suck!! Norton takes up too much resources….Thank You!

MemberWell I said that McAfee sucks because whenever I use McAfee it slows down my computer big time and it did not detect some viruses that were on my computer…. when I installed NOD32 and scanned the computer it detected 2 viruses!! I did not delete or quarintine the viruses… So I tried detecting with McAfee and it did not find anything so I uninstalled it and just stuck with NOD32 but than the antivirus expired so I am looking for a better one… I hear eTrust was good but I don’t know yet so please add more replies!!
Thank You!

I got more problems when I was useing it (viruses it would not handle properly)then anything else I have used. you might also read the reviews on all of them on http://www.download.com befor you deside witch 1 you are going to use

MemberIf you use fast user switching, Kaspersky won’t work properly. If you only use one account than it won’t matter.

MemberYes I have looked at the Reviews of eTrust and they suck! So I my last choices would be Avast!, Kaspersky, or F-Prot…
If you have used atleast one of those please tell me what you think of them so I can see which one is best of all 3…. AVAST! got great reviews on http://www.download.com so I might use that….
Thank You!

MemberWell… I have tried AVG and Pc-Cillin and I never liked both… I have chosen my decision and choose Avast! It is free and it is a great antivirus… It detected a trojan which Nod32, Norton, McAfee, and all the rest I used didn’t detect… It was ashame that all the leading and more expensive AV’s didn’t detect the Trojan. I didn’t scan my computer yet.. I’m going to scan it later for viruses because my internet has been getting really slow. I used Spyware and adware removers and it removed everything… Thank you for your help and I hope to talk to you later… thank you…
