AOL launched an interactive chat-based game called Cry Wolf: The Game. Based on the upcoming movie, Cry Wolf pits two teams of unequally informed players in a battle of wits.
You sign in with your AIM screenname, pick a location, and join or start a game. The players are randomly split up into two teams: Wolves and Sheep. Each game starts with more Sheep than Wolves, and the Sheep don’t know who else is a Sheep or a Wolf. The Wolves, on the other hand, are told who the other Wolves are. There job is to try to deceive the Sheep into thinking that other Sheep are in fact Wolves. The objective is survival.
The game is essentially the same as the one played in the movie, so it’s an interesting interactive experiment.

“With all of the wireless phoning and instant messaging going on in the story it’s hard to tell whether Cry_Wolf is a movie or a 90 minute ad for Blackberries and AOL Instant Messenger…”
