Is AOL Messenger the same as AIM? If not, what is the difference?
They are different, but compatible.
AOL Messenger is available only to AOL subscribers. AIM is free and available to everyone.
AOL Messenger has some additional features, including video messages and SuperBuddies.
You can send messages to and from either pretty transparently.
AIM users cannot view AOL profiles.
I think that pretty much sums it up.
okay thanks, see I thought so, but I was having a little problem with AOL messanger where I added my AIM buddies and tried to message them and it said that they were not online even though they were. Any help?
