“aolmed~1.exe”
What is this????
I always check my task manager. I never saw “aolmed~1.exe” until today.
I looked it up but didnt get much info. Saw it may be a trojan.
NOw when I started running NOrton Antivirus….”aolmed~1.exe”, disappeared from the task manager list, but Norton didnt say it removed anything. So ummm. Im confused.
And if i can ask another question. I am constantly getting attempted attacks by certain IP addresses. can I turn them in some how? I am sick of this crap. I dont need this on my birthday.
Thanks so much for your help.
ok I have run Norton Internet Security, Cw Shredder, Spybot SD, Ad Aware, and a new thing ewido suite. Nothing found anything. I went to Norton and McAfee to do searches for this aolmed~1.exe and found nothing…therefore its obviously not on thier list to protect us from. It is not showing right now. But it was before. I wonder if its soomething that is on and off when a hacker is on the computer. i dont know. any help would be great
Hey Sunshine,
If none of those viurs/spyware scanners works, I sugguest you try one of the following links to an online viurs scanning service:
http://housecall.trendmicro.com/
http://www.pandasoftware.com/products/activescan/com/activescan_principal.htm
http://www.bitdefender.com/scan/licence.php
http://us.mcafee.com/root/runapplication.asp?appid=73
I got these off google. Try doing a scan with a few of these. If this is really a trojan, one of those is bound to catch it. Post the results here and I will take a look at them and guide you through fixing the problem (if the anti-virus does not fix it for you).
As for your problem with getting so many hack attempts… I too face this problem. Unfortunatly, I do not know how to solve this problem for you. All I can recommend is that you keep your computer sercurtiy heavy.
Yea because mine doesn’t have that either.
