I have this reoccuring problem of making away messages and then the next time I try and use them they are combined with the text of other away messages that I have saved
ie.. Out drinking beer turns into out drinking beerat the gym be back later
ive uninstalled and reinstalled aim several times and made all new away messages but it keeps happening
Hmm, that’s odd. Do you have more than one Screen name and have them linked together.. This probably isn’t what’s happening but if you have your screen names linked and go away it sets all the away messages up and looks like they’re all joined together.
that is very odd and I have never heard of anything like that. Maybe you should check your computer for some kind of program that you never installed and delete that. if that doesnt fix it then maybe you should try running an older version of aim form oldversion.com
Yeah its the weirdest problem and a pain in the ass when I have to edit my away messages everytime so they look normal again….and no I dont link screennames..does anyone know of a good program that can uninstall any program installed on your computer not just what appears in the add/remove programs from control panel?
let me think yes there us programs but no program is there to fix your problem so ull have to try your luck and see if spybot works the thing could be spyware but I am not sure…it could be something u did in the aim program. did u ever do anything to get rid of ads or something on aim? the step by step process that tells u to delete cut copy and paste stuff here and there? because if you did that might have messed up your aim program but that probly isnt it bcuz uve uninstalled and installed aim over and over again…r u using some ither version than the american one? and if none of that is it then… there is nothing u can do…ull have to stick with yahoo or something who knows…
