I guess the BBB downloads section is down?

Invalid backend specified is the message that comes up when trying to access it.
Same here so you’re not alone. I wonder what’s up.
The message did make me chuckle for a bit though. Yes yes immature I know, so sue me!
I guess the link to Downloads from the main BBB page has been been fixed now !? … or maybe I’m just lucky I happen to use an old browser known as “I.E'” !?? :p
Anyway, downloads page (https://bigblueball.com/im/download.php) looks fine here.
BUT…. the actual content is looking VERRRRY tired and dog-eared. 🙁

-2- messenger.yahoo.com WON’T get you to any YM version 6 any more.
and I’d guess much of the other info may be outdated too.

Ian, you’re looking at the way way old version of our Download Center which is now obsolete and outdated. The one that princeG pointed out is the current one, and is most definately down (Great error…standard black text on a white blank screen…ouch, that can’t be good :p ).
Spike, actually, Ian is looking at the ACTIVE downloads page (click downloads in the navigation bar at the top of this page, and you’ll see what I mean). The broken downloads page was something I hadn’t officially unveiled. I’m testing an alternative now.
