Out of 632 messaging applications listed on ITerating (wiki based software guide) Jclaim came out first, as being the best messaging software -and that from users reviews. Is it that great? Did anyone used from you guys?

It depends what kind of messaging applications they were. I had never heard of Jclaim before, but it is a business instant messaging application. See, I find it hard to believe that just on purely “messaging applications” Jclaim beat out say Yahoo or WLM/MSN, or AIM.
I’ve not heard of Jclaim either,so that’s why it seems wierd that it can beat Skype or Adium or whatever
All depends on the criteria they were testing on. If it is purely based on say functionality I can see it beating out other applications. Personally I use Yahoo, MSN and AOL regularly. But I also have ICQ, Google and MyspaceIM installed for those times when I want/need them. IM clients is based entirely what you want and what your friends use. Doesn’t matter what one site says is best, if the people you talk to are not on it, it’s useless to you.
Very true! There really is no single “best” instant messenger. But there might be one that is best for you.
