MemberTry Y!Amp M6 v3.6
http://www.elitenick.com/ccount/click.php?id=1
I’m not trying to be biased, but I think my program is one of the best for this type of thing 🙂 haha.
The only thing I’m not understanding is you say you want it so you can place a message automatically when the program closes…right now I have where if someone closes the program it’ll say “Y!Amp M6 – http://www.EliteNick.com“.
If you want an option in my program that you can’t find, let me know and I’ll put it in for the release of Y!Amp M7, to be released when Yahoo! Messenger 7 comes out in full (not beta). :).
Current features:
– Supports ASCII
– Draggable interface
– Does not advertise while songs are being played (or stopped)
– Small filesize
– Works with Yahoo! Messenger 5, 6, and 7 BETA.
– Works with Internet streamsWant more? Let me know.

MemberI tried your plugin, it works fine
the big defect/problem imho is that it’s not a real winamp plugin, like all other similar utilities (I mean a dll plugin into the winamp directory with no external windows/tray icon/exe)…
can you make it a dll plugin configurable into the winamp menu? I really hate the tray icon and the upper left corner window 🙁I don’t want to make you angry, just my opinion 😉
About the meaning of message when close winamp take a look to the wa2y status changer plugin 🙂

MemberYeah, it’s more of an add-on than a plugin. I tried reading Nullsoft’s info on how to make it an actual plugin (DLL’s and such) but it just pissed me off. I decided to just do it my way and have it be an addon. Anyway, you can drag the iface anywhere you want…but yeah, you can’t get rid of the tray icon without closing the program. I’ll try looking into making it an actual plugin again, since it’d be better if it was.
Maybe you should try MethAmp (http://www.elitenick.com/ccount/click.php?id=29 ) however that program doesn’t work for me anymore, others have told me it’s a great program.

Memberthank you, I’ll wait for it 🙂
if you can please add an option to ignore video and an option to choose to disable status name update when I press stop/pauseJune 10, 2005 at 6:26 pm #123799EliteNick
MemberThanks for the good suggestions. I’ll have it filter out any files that end with things like .avi, .mpg, ect. I’ll add more options as to what should happen when someone pauses or stops a song (such as being able to put your own status i.e. ‘[song] is paused’. I’ll post back here when I have those new options implemented and it being a full fledged plugin for Winamp.

Membervery good thanks 🙂
please take a look at wa2y status changer plugin (you can find it in the winamp plugin web site) and if you can also add the same “message when winamp closing feature” thanks 🙂August 1, 2005 at 6:09 am #123801Autonomous
ParticipantThat add on is pretty cool, I was wondering if there was a plugin so what your playing is displayed in a chat room that you’re currently in.

MemberI don’t know about others, but Y!Amp can do that. It can send the message & song to chat rooms as well as IM’s automatically.
