OK, so I’ll be the one for us all squinting into the computer screen thinking, “What the hell is a podcast???!!!”.
Podcasting, a portmanteau of Apple’s “iPod” and “broadcasting”, is a method of publishing files to the Internet, allowing users to subscribe to a feed and receive new files automatically by subscription, usually at no cost. It first became popular in late 2004, used largely for audio files.
Think of it as a digital newsletter, in audio format, if you use iTunes it can automatically download the latest “episode” and download it to your iPod, or you can just listen to it.
The BigBlueBall Instant Messaging Podcast is now officially listed in the iTunes podcast directory. The quickest way to find it is to do a search in the iTunes store on the word “bigblueball” (what else?).
If you subscribe, you’ll reap heaps of good karma. 😉
Ohhhh…cannot wait to run home and download….bah…what’s work really for? Sarah….you…me…that’s get that thing going…soon you may be hearing Oreo and the lovely British woman over the net (boy am I going to sound crappy next to her voice!)…then the trouble starts…. (hmmm….6,5 hours of work left….*sigh*)
podcast suggestion- Please lower the volume on the music (or get rid of it!), on my ipod the voice level is fine but WOW, when that music kicks on I have to rip the earbuds out or risk permanent damage. otherwise I like it!

And the length… too long for the musical intro. The subsequent podcasts seem to get better, tho.
