Blank/White Profile Page

As of a few days ago I have friends profiles that I can no longer view. What I get instead is a white screen. When I check the source code for the page it is clear that yahoo is sending me the white page by redirecting me to http://us.bc.yahoo.com/b . I know this is not a deleted account and other people can see my friends’s profile just fine and she doesn’t have me blocked. I get this same result from my office network and from my home network (different computer). Any one experiencing anything similar? Thanks! (be kind to newbies) 🙂

Where exactly are you trying to access the profiles from? Yahoo! Messenger? A Yahoo! Gameroom? A Yahoo! Chatroom? Or some other site? That information might help us give you a better solution.

it doesn’t matter where I try to open it up from….normally it’s just IE….by typing profiles.yahoo.com/username ….this is a profile I opened at least once a day for years up until this past Tuesday….

Sweetie…you really must be ‘veryBORED’, I’d check to make sure she didn’t make her profile “adult only”. Yahoo support might help but with yahoo we get what we pay for. If you cant find an answer in the forums there are places like GeeksByTheMinute that you can call for a fee to get answers. If I stumble on anything useful I’ll let you know. Meanwhile think of it as a Profile Vacation. 😀

While I’m not obsessively checking a chick’s profile, I am having the same problem. Several of my Yahoo! profiles won’t show up and my friends are having the same problem. The issue seems to be with profiles who have a first, middle and last name listed under “Real Name” (though not every profile I have which has 3 names is down, every profile that IS down has 3 names listed). When is Yahoo going to fix this? It’s irritating.

I was fine for a very short period of time (able to see the profiles that were showing up as a blank page earlier) but then the problem came back and still exists. I really think it’s a yahoo glitch and has nothing to do with profile content.

Hey, Very Bored Male, I am having the very same problem too. Worked fine until yesterday morning. We have 5 users on system and there are 2 of us who can’t view or edit profiles.

It’s some kind of glitch that has to do with having three names listed under “Real Name,” I’m pretty sure. Like I said, all of the profiles of mine that are down have three “Real Name”s; it’s the same with my friends who are experiencing the problem, too.

This appears to be a temporary yahoo glitch and a friend gave me a FancyFix 🙂 until yahoo patches this, try looking at the profile through an international yahoo domain such as ca.profiles.yahoo.com/username or uk.profiles.yahoo.com/username …it worked for ME!

I have been having the same problem for 9 days now…i cant view my own profile LoL…not that i want to look at my pic…but it wont allow me to edit it either. I wrote to yahoo….Shockingly…i got a response. They “Say” they are aware of the problem and working to resolve it. So its not your computer…its YAHOO!

Dont forget MunchkinNurse…although its not a fix you can use the alternative http://ca.profiles.yahoo.com/Yahoo!ID to view profiles until Yahoo straightens this out.
