KeymasterI’m not a big fan of Michael Moore, but I appreciate what he does. Not long ago, I watched his documentary Bowling for Columbine. It’s an interesting film about guns in the United States, and it made me think. However, it’s not clear what his point is.
Last week a friend sent me a link titled The Truth About Bowling for Columbine, in which David Hardy points out a number of flaws and alleged misinformation in ‘Bowling.’ Also thought provoking. Everyone has an agenda.
Bottom line? You need to program yourself, or else the world will program you.

ParticipantWow, I just watched that documentary last night. It was very thought provoking, and probably the only documentary I’ve ever watched in entirety. Now I’ve just finished reading this rebuke to the film, and it is also quite interesting. Artistic license is one thing, but it seems a few facts have been skewed about and spoon fed to the viewer. It’s always good to hear both sides of the story, and this documentary was no exception.
What was Moore’s point? Well, it seemed to me that all he could say was, there are a lot of gun deaths in the US, but there is no real definitive reason why. I guess we’re supposed to come up with the point on our own. Well, at the very least it was rather entertaining, skewed or otherwise.

MemberPersonaly I didnt like Bowling for Columbine, not just because it gave an unfair judgement towards people who may own guns.
Being that Im from Michigan*hand state* I know about guns, hence the michigan militia http://www.michiganmilitia.com/ personaly I think half of these guys are nuts. But someone who may want to own a gun and not have to pay 50 dollars a bullet isnt going to be able to. And the director of the movie is one stupid mofo, anyone whos going to kill someone isnt going to need a gun or bullets since there are easy to buy machiens to make bullets and the internet has many a bomb sites.
Guns dont kill people stupid dumbasses who got there ass’s kicked everyday kill people.
