ThanksJuly 30, 2003 at 2:35 am #58320Brian
MemberWell. I remember some kids over at AIMFILEZ.com posted something like that. I am not going to post the tutorial here without Jeff’s permission. So, you’ll have look through over at that site.
I personally don’t think these tricks are cool. It could do harm to one another’s disk drivers.

MemberBrian……..Dude what are you talking about? Harm ones disk drive? It could harm it just as much as you pressing the drive and opening it up.

ParticipantGuys, please, I hate sites that try to do things to your computer without your knowing.
That’s not funny to piss others off. I’d be PISSED if you broke my $300 DVD Burner because you thought it was funny.

Member“Well, some people I know have computer cases that have one of the CD-Rom cover which may break the CD-Rom if it is opened.”
It won’t _break_ anything. I’ve knocked the tray onto the ground tons of times i simply open up the window, stick it back in and its as good as new. Simple.

MemberThis discussoin is off-topic and pointless. CD-ROM/DVD drives can break easily, depending on the brand. Wanna discuss which brands break easily? Fine, but not here. Feel free to create a “How easily does your CD-ROM drive break?”-poll in the ‘Submit your poll‘ section of this forum.
If anyone knows the profile code to accomplish this, feel free to post it. If you don’t, then there’s no point in posting your reply as it’s really not an answer to the original question.
