MemberIs it possible to delete someone from your Yahoo buddy list, but then that person still remains on your 360 list and vice versa? Thanks for any info!

ParticipantI think if you delete someone on your messenger list, they remain on your 360 because they are completely different Yahoo! Services. Just like when you delete a buddy from your messenger list, you can keep them in your Yahoo! Address book for e-mail. I think the only thing that would change this is if that buddy specifically ignores you on that one specific feature, ex: 360 or messenger.
But i agree with dvelez on testing it, and if anyone does test this, please post to let us know the results!

MemberThanks!! I’m thinking you’re right that it’s a separate Yahoo service, but I’ll try to test this and post the results. If anyone else has done this, please share! Thanks! 🙂 Missy

Participant360 and yahoo messenger are seperate.
Reason you get the “option” to add them to your buddylist too if you want.
If you delete a contact on 360, it just removes you from their 360 list and them from yours.

MemberHi Dermot 🙂 I’ve been meaning to test this, but haven’t had time. So, the opposite of what you said should work too, right? If you delete a name off your buddy list it would not take them off your 360 because that’s separate and you have to go into 360 and delete them there, too, right? Thanks, you always have great info! 🙂 Missy

Participantindeed that is the case hermosabeachbabe
however even after i reported this annoying bug many times to yahoo..
You are not allowed to delete people who have already deleted their accounts without removing their 360’s.
I have three users on my 360 whom i cannot remove no matter how many times i click delete.

MemberFrom everything I’ve read in another place (sorry) there does seem to be a glitch where a 360 remains even after an account has been deleted and supposedly yahoo is trying to fix this.
But in response to original post, I have deleted a 360 “friend”, but they did remain on my messenger. And one instance where I had deleted off my messenger, but they stayed on my 360 until I removed them from there also.
Just don’t remember if I was on version 6 or 7 at the time.
