Memberwell depends if your going to be at home more or outside. if your going to be outside i suggest a computer with intel centrino technology because it has longer battery life, plus it is light, the wireless card is built in and you are wi-fi ready. Also look for those X-bright displays (they show alot better).

KeymasterWell I can recommend the ZD8000 by Hewlett Packard which is what I have, the computer is fast and is great at playing games so that can be an added bonus for you. It really depends on what type of computer you want though because my laptop is a desktop replacement type laptop meaning it’s not exactly little or light.
I personally like HP laptops rather than Dell. You can check more out here:

ParticipantI like my laptop a lot, I’ll go over the specs, the pro’s and the con’s for it.
Specs:
Dell Inspiron 5150
Mobile Intel Pentium 4 – 2.80Ghz/1.60Ghz
1024MB DDR333 RAM
CDRW/ DVD
2x 96Whr batteries
80GB IDE hard disk
15.0″ XGA (1024×768) LCD display
Dell 1350 wireless (Mini-PCI) 802.11b/g
GeForce FX5200Go videoPros:
*If I am watching a movie, I can go 4hrs on a single charged battery
*During ‘normal’ operation with wireless enabled, I can go 4.5hrs
*If I use the ‘max battery’ setting (Meaning it clocks down the CPU to 1.6Ghz) I can go 6hrs on normal operation (wireless enabled)
*It’s never overheated, not even when I use it on my bed for 4 or 5 hours
*It’s fast, it can process nearly as fast as my desktop can (3.4Ghz)Cons:
*It weights 6 points or so.
*It’s 1.8″ thick
*There isn’t a volume scroll wheel, you have to do Fn+Pgup/Pgdn.
*No serial or parallel ports. For me, it works great, I take it everywhere. And it was only $1700 back in June.

MemberI have a Sony PCG-FRV26. I haven’t upgraded anything on it, so it’s nothing special. 512RAM, 60GB HDD total, 3 USB ports, 15″ (1024×768) screen, and some other stuff I can’t think of right now. It was about $1,400 back in December of 2003.
