Participantwell can you tell us what it might be? are you trying to reshack AIM, or did you install some addon, or… any details? I cant say i’ve ever seen that happen

KeymasterI had something similar to that happen to me with yahoo messenger except a search bar appeared over that bar. Turned out something in my program files called My Search was affecting it and I checked the properties and it said it was installed that day. I don’t know how that happened but I removed it and it went away. In your case it might be something else like that that has been installed in your computer without you knowing it. Check program files and sort the list my modified or by date and see if there is something new installed in your computer that you don’t recall putting in.

MemberI’m guessing that’s AIM 5.5 you are using? Well, there might be something in your prefs that could change that.

MemberI know what that is. If you are running Windows XP go to Add or Remove Programs in the Control Panel and look for something along the lines of a program named Smiley Central and remove it and it should do the trick. You or someone else may have downloaded it.

ParticipantSh8kes is right, it is from smiley central. If you already deleted smiley central and it is not gone, try re-installing Aim and/or running spysweeper (it is a bit better than spybot S&D). You can find spysweeper here: http://www.spysweeper.com/spyware-remover-download.html

Memberi know what that is, I know I might reply a little bit late but it was something that comes with the new version of Smiley Central. I probably have downloaded smiley central or someone downloaded it for you It is so you can put animated smileys and play other games thatn the ones that Aim 5.5 already has. Well as for removing it try opening your internet explorer and at the top it should say smiley central I think you can edit if it has it for AIM or not
