Anyone else having this problem? I try to delete contacts from my list, and then they reappear by themself after I delete them. I even tried to delete them using web messenger, and it won’t let me delete any at all. The web messenger won’t let me add anyone, either. can someone help? Thanks.
Did you recently make a new ID and try to add all your old buddies back to it? When I did that and tried to re-add everyone, I had the same problem, couldn’t add, delete or move anyone from group to group after about 10 or 15 people. I guess it’s a yahoo thing, daily limit or something. It takes a day or so and then it goes back to normal, but it seems like for the next few days after this happens it’s kinda picky and you can only add a few people a day….
This seems to be one of the most common errors in the new messenger build.
It seems on login, yahoo! sets it as an error no matter what you do.
Only time will tell, if they fix this error or not.
I had an alias under my main ID, and I decided to make that alias another account all together. So I was going to delete some names from the first ID and add them to my new ID, which originally was an alias under the first ID. Make sense? Also, I was using Trillian at the time. Not sure if this would affect it or not, but I uninstalled Trillian and still could not delete the names.

Yep just give it a day or so… it will straighten out. You just tried to add too many people to your list in one day. When I changed my yahoo ID it took me about 3 or 4 days to get about 30 people transferred from my old list to the new one… since then I have had no problems with new contacts.
What happens is it locks your buddy list and you cannot make any changes whatsoever… you delete them and it either does nothing or just removes them until the next time messenger gets refreshed, then they pop right back up.
Ok.. I didnt start having this problem till I added another group to my list.. but I cant even delete it.. I noticed that some of the names do end up deleting but..like I said in my other post.. the messenger scrolls on its own lol.. so this should clear up soon right??? :confused:
