Incoming chat text is invisible to me. I have powered down/up several times – uninstalled and re-installed Yahoo With Messenger several times – All other functions work – Voice Chat works – Vid works – chatters recieve my messages…. Any Suggestions?? Thanks!
Hi there, another member had the same problem. Here is a link to that post.
Hey Sarah – thnx – I think the ‘scripten.exe’ file may be the answer as i have done everything else… except after downloading the scripten file (from Microsoft) it wont allow me to run because it cannot recognize the Windows XP Logo or something… Odd and getting odder… my XP OS is authentic – we go through the authentication process before they allow me to download – but it comes through as an ‘Unverified Author”… any suggestions? Thanks again – Jack
mmh well I am sure other staff will advise you further, but in the meantime I would download trillian. At least then you can talk to your friends until you find an answer to this problem.
Thnx Sarah – I unfamiliiar with Trillion but i will take your advice and try it… much obliged for the help! – Jack
Sarah – I wound up re-installing my OS… too many bugs were showing up in various functions system-wide… oh well… at least now i can read the incoming messages! – Thanks again – Jack
It sounds like a script problem, goto Microsoft.com and download script 5.6 for your operating system. They problem on the other post is a script problem, which was a give away when they posted about not being able to read the Windows Update Page. They just couldn’t figure out the fix.
Goto http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/search.aspx?displaylang=en and search for the version of script 5.6 that you need.
