I think that most chat room fights start because some insecure, underaged, bundle of hormones needs to feel self-important and the only way he knows how is by insulting others and inflating his importance in his own mind.
The funny thing is, they are usually oblivious to the fact of their own inadequacies. Makes for some mildly entertaining chats.
