I have a friend who got into a favorite chat room but after leaving, I noticed that the user nic was still in the chat list, thus appearing to be present after she departed.
When my friend attempted to go into the room again, she received a yahoo message saying she was already in the rooom, thus she cannot get in. It’s not a “room full” issue. A reboot does not clear this problem.
She’s runing Yahoo 8.0 build 683 over Ytunnel 2.0 build 378. I have exactly the same configuration with no such difficulties.
Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Sounds like she got booted. did she have a webcam on at the time when she left the room? best thing for her to do is wait till the name leaves the chat room. It will go away after a while.
