Is there a way to review files that have recently been opened on my computer? I dont want a program that can review from now on. All i want is something that can tell me what files have been opened in the past week and for how long etc. I particularly want to know about MS Word, because someone has possibly looked through my files and I would be interested in knowing which files they opened and how long for…
Any help would be great?
Well, if it was Microsoft Word, you can actually open Word (not by opening a .doc file, just go Start > Programs > Word), then in Microsoft Word, click File, and the last four options above Exit were the last 4 files opened. Additionally, you can password-protect your Word Documents so when they are opened, if the user does not know the password, it won’t open. Other than that, I’m unaware of any logging that Windows does on its own.
I dont think you can track how long a file has been open…. I do know that you can see how long it took to edit/write it…. but to time how long it has been open…. I dont think you can do that…
Just thought there might be a log for when the file was opened and when it was closed, so i could then work out how long it was open. Never mind. Thanks for your help though
