ParticipantI can’t figure out why the hyperlinks I put in my profile are a purple color instead of the usual blue color of hyperlinks. I think it is because I have a black background for my font. Anyone know how to fix this? I don’t like the way it looks, I’d rather have it blue. Thanks.

Participantthe purple color is because you’ve probably clicked the links, or been to the pages they link to. purple is the default “visited link” color. there’s nothing wrong with your profile, and its not because your background is black

MemberYes. It is because your background is black, I just tried it on mine and when you make the background black, the color of the link is like a purple color rather than the regular blue.

MemberHmmm. I do not think it is because of your background color, mine being black withouth the problem. or perhaps it is a combination of things, font color aim expresions, etc

MemberAs Tigerblade mentioned it has to do with clicking the link. If u open your browser, go under tools to colors (or fonts and colors in firefox), u can see that the visited link is colured purple and the unvisited link is blue. Those are the default colours, and if u dont like them u can change them. So it has nothing to do with background colours, or expressions.

This has nothing to do with AIM profiles. You can change those colors all you want and it won’t effect your AIM profile. When you have a white background, the link shows blue. When you have a black background, it will turn purple because it is easier to read than the blue on black.
