Computer shuts off

Theres something wrong with my computer. It shuts off at random times without any warning. I dont have a virus or any ad-ware on my computer. Sometimes it shuts off at 2 mins, sometimes 2 days.. What is wrong?

Is it a laptop or a desktop? Perhaps it has a problem with the fans or ventilation and the cpu overheats or something.

Does the computer actually shut down, i.e. “Windows is shutting down”? Or does it just suddenly cut off?

Suddenly cuts off.. it totally turns off at random times.. It’s a Compaq Presario desktop.

If this doesn’t help, check your hard ware, most probably the SMPS of your CPU.
