MemberHi,
I have been facing a problem since yesterday night. I tried to log into yahoo. It just kept displaying connecting for a long time. I pressed ctrl+alt+del and found that it was listed as not responding. I then kept trying for an hour with no results. I even tried to download a fresh version of yahoo messenger. this also didnt download and kept hanging
Then today morning at my homepc i downloaded yahoo messenger again. this time it was successful afetr many attempts and finally i could log on and use messenger.
Then I went to my office and in my office pc i was able to log in and chat for a while. When i tried to relogin later, i got the same problem and yahoo messenger just kept on displaying connecting and then hung. I am still not able to access it. and just like yday am not able to download the yahoo messenger again as well from the yahoo site. But my msn messenger is working properly both at home and in office. i have a dial up connection using a telephone. What could be causing this ?

MemberI have the same trouble from time to time, and it is Yahoo themselves, that are causing it, at certain times of the day i notice (around dinner time) or even during day on weekends Etc, this happens! They are the largest email service and serve alot of people! What i do, if it does not connect, is right click the greyed out face and sign out and exit, then i restart it, sometimes that helps. Today i could not get into my mail for a long time too! I guess we just have to be patient and keep trying.

I also had problems signing in with yahoo, luckly I had a chance to fix it ….seems there a quiet a few of us in the same situation… I read a post at another forum that I go to about siging in problems and it seems that the problem is caused by yupdater.exe …there are two ways for dealing with this either prevent it via your fire wall or you can re-name your yupdater.exe to YUpdate.exe.old either way will work. hope this helps you out 🙂
