? Could this be a virus?

I keep getting this message to pop up on my screen when I open yahoo messenger, but it has a windows sign in the corner of the box in the box it says this ” Update Available–This update to Yahoo Messenger offers additional features and provides a new security update. It should be installed immediately. Do you want to update now? yes or now”

What do you think? Does anyone know anything about this. Infact I stupidly clicked on it once and it did something but I don’t know what, well now it still pops up EVERYTIME I open my Yahoo Messenger. Concerned. Any advice or knowledge of this would be appreciated.

Some people block it’s access through their firewall settings, others rename the file, or delete it entirely. Either way, blocked or removed, it will not hinder Yahoo at all. I renamed mine but then said why not, so I got rid of it. l’m surprised there isn’t an option in Yahoo prefs to disable that feature.
