do u think DeadAIM and AOL working togather is a good idea or a bad one (for us, that is ;))? Do you think that they will try to improve AIM, or just get more money with Ads, and placing them on DeadAIM and the such?
AOL?? “try to improve AIM”??? *falls off chair laughing, then slowly crawls back to keyboard* good one there… promising career in comedy
if you’ve seen the new beta version or heard anything about it… like the adware/spyware/whatever that it installs along with it… yeah on the offchance that i do decide to get it (once its a final release), i’ll be hacking it up extensively to get rid of all the extra crap
Is ANYTHING that has “AOL” in it ever good?
Is it only the techie’s like me that hate AOL? (By hate, I mean if I could, I’d go over to the AOL HQ and yell at the CEO, even if they arrested me ;)) I mean, it’s $23/Month for a 28.8kbps connection, a program that you MUST use to connect, (It takes up 20% of my friends system memory (128MB)), they have the worst customer support, it’s impossible to cancel them….Do I really have to go on?
Why do people still use AOL!!!
DeadAIM and AOL teaming up will not be anywhere near a good thing. As TB said, have you seen the 5.5 Beta? The GUI looks like a kid ate a box of crayons and threw up on the display. Not to mention the *ware that comes with it, and the buddy list window is getting smaller and smaller with each new release.
Hey, Just more reason for me to use Trillian. 🙂
techie? i had a comp ever since i was 3 :)… and i dont like aol either i have cable… and i was talking about the instand messenger, not their internet access
The Instant Messenger is just as bad…Have you used 5.5?
not planning to
