Does anyone think that once jdennis comes out with a new version of DeadAim or makes enough money to run his site that DeadAim will be free? Or is free software lost forever?
I would say that his program will probably alyways cost money. His plan as of now is too have people pay and get a year of free updates. So it will be awhile until he will kill the cost if he ever does.
That really stinks because i’m sure that the upgradings of aim will eventally put my 3.something version of dead aim out of business- hopefully aim will put some of DeadAims features in their upgrades
i think if aim should include any of the DeadAIM features, the two that should most definitely be used are the popup notification boxes (ie, “AIMuser123 has just signed on.”) and the tabbed window interface. those are the two most useful features of DeadAIM, in my opinion. But realistically, AIM is free, so we have no say whatsoever in what they do or dont do for AIM, and they have no real incentive to change or fix anything.

you can get the old version of dead aim at….. http://www.oldversion.com/program.php?n=deadaim ….it’s free but it’s the old version but it’s better that nothing.
