Hey there, can anyone tell me whether Deny Buddy works if the person is using Trillian?
Yes, it should work. The buddy list is stored on Yahoo’s server and not on the user’s pc. Trillian simply connects to the yahoo server to retrieve the buddy list info.
Can you please tell me more about “Deny Buddy”? I googled it, and found the program on shiftthis.net. I installed it, but I’m not really sure how to use it, and it didn’t come with any instructions or txt files. I have a couple of people who have added me, and I simply cannot ignore them…they don’t go away, now matter how many times I put them on “ignore user”. I asked politely that they remove me from their contact list, but they continue to message me. I’d love any help or recommendations anyone might have. Thanks!
Well, first of all if you put someone on the ignore list you will no longer be able to recieve messages from them. Is your ignore list full? There is a limit to the number of people you can ignore, 100 maybe? Other than that I’m not sure why you would still receive messages from them. For Deny-a-Buddy, it should ask for your name and password and then the ID of the person whos list you want to be removed from. Also make sure you have the most recent version of Deny-a-Buddy, which I think is here.
Thanks amy d g. I really appreciate your response!!:)
