I don’t know if I am putting this in the right place BUT if I am not please forgive me. I was reading up on messengers the other day and I forgot where I came across this at but the article was about being able to use messenger from your desktop without being on the net .
Has anyone heard about this or know of anything like it? I guess you kind of connect to the other persons computer and can chat without actually having to use something like yahoo or such. It runs from your desktop.
Thanks
Carrie
I think you’re talking about NetSend. If you are, it’s basically a chat command in DOS that you can send to other people on the same Local Area Network.
someone correct me if I’m wrong. I’ve never used it but I’m pretty sure that’s how it works.
You can not chat with any person if you’re not connected to his network.
If you’re talking about chatting without being connected to net; it means you mean chatting on Local Area Network i.e from one PC to other PC in your school, office or home but not with anyone elsewhere.
