MemberI Found this site in google now:
XEEBER – Detect Invisible Users on Yahoo! Messenger
this site work better than buddy spy.
Its very useful and work fine now.
i hope xeeber work every time.April 22, 2007 at 7:08 pm #160144imported_Ven0m
MemberWell… Buddy Spy (among other programs out there) have the ability to tell you if a buddy is online or not, and possibly if they have a webcam on. Also, you can’t just scan anyone anymore (Yahoo changed this) and made it where the bot you’re using has to be on the buddy list of the buddy you’re trying to scan.
Also, you can’t tell if a user is in a chat room anymore since Yahoo pulled the /join command some months back. 🙂

MemberWell, I just tried it and it tells me people whom are offline (my own different IDs) are online. 😛 I suppose this works (to an extent) but it does have a failure rate. 🙂
Although, I doubt it can detect users using the protection called C-Mode. 😛

Keymastertry to scan my ID it will tell you im offline. 🙂 if you dont want people to find you online from webpages then you just go to your profiles and check the box to appear offline from other users. Also staying invisible will help.
There is no new method for scanning if a person is online.

ParticipantJust another service using the yahoo opi servers that are very much so hit and miss
i wouldn’t go by any program that used them.

MemberIndeed, I think that new app works relatively the same as Buddy Spy. And just like the B.S, results are not guaranteed… 😮

You are exactly correct.
I don’t trust the opi servers at all, the opi servers in buddy spy were used as just a web check (and said just as much).
Besides this web check, there is only one other way that I know of currently to pull online status, and you are still going to have varied results.

ParticipantWhy do some users want to see who is invisible anyway? What’s the point of spying? When I am on invisible it is for a reason, I don’t want to be seen and messaged. I’m glad any methods to try and detect this are hit-and-miss and I hope Yahoo makes it more difficult.

Because some people login as invisible by default using alternative chat clients (like Yahelite) that don’t allow selective invisibility. If I’m waiting for someone to come online, the “DING DONG!” of a programme like Buddy Spy will let me know without me needing to sit at my computer – much more convenient and a real time- and hassle-saver in my opinion.
