I have an old version of IM not sure which one but it meets my basic IM needs. It does not have a lot of task/tool bar icons, desktops, etc. If I update to a new version, add MultiY, SpyBuddy for instance will I be adding a lot of stuff to my toolbars, desktops, etc? Is there a lot of stuff I don’t need in the latest Yahoo IM version? The best feature I have read I like is being able to have multiple ID’s open. Should I upgrade or stay where I am overall? Thanks for any suggestions.

Thanks for any suggestions.Even the latest version of Yahoo Messenger does not allow activating Y!M on multiple instances. However, there are programs that made it possible to be able to run multiple Y!M at the same time. The latest version of Yahoo Messenger does have a lot of new features.
You have the option to create desktop shortcut or not in most programs such as SpyBuddy and others.
Also, Yahoo have sent notices that they will stop supporting the old version of Yahoo Messenger, so upgrading seems to be inevitable.. 🙂
