MemberWhy is he your fav? I liked a lot of his older stuff and I liked the way that he appreciated his mother. I don’t like a lot of the things he got into, which, eventually caused his untimely death. I also have to say that I like a few songs from others here and there. But, to be honest, many of the subjects in rap songs are extremely offensive and I think it really takes away from the talent that some of these people have with words. I know some of it is about what they see everyday…but some of it is just plain disgusting.

MemberHAHAHA tiger! omg so funny.
i definately do not like tupac. my ex boyfriend was (and probably still is) obsessed with him, and he always had his “music” playing. it was annoying. i can’t tell you how many times i’ve heard “hell razor” and other stuff by him.
i would seriously lose no sleep if they never played any of his songs again.

Memberstrange enough, i think i’ve heard everything by this artist. and once again, the EX also said he relates to many of tupac’s songs. i don’t see how he relates. he’s a skinny white kid from the pocono mountains in pennsylvania. right. that relates well.

Memberi for one don’t mind the gangster speak. its cool. all to their own.
dissing people for it i don’t like. its his way to speak. maybe its area culture where hes at for youths to talk like that.i personally don’t like 2pac. pretty interestin story about how he went down though. the same sort of thing is happening between 50cent and Ja Rule (just if ya wernt aware).
pretty soon im sure one of thems going to get shot up by the others supporters. not to mention 50cent being shot 9 times. once in the face.
back on topic, my fav would have to be eminem. i mean, if he wasn’t so blimmin good he wouldn’t have hit the top of the charts so many times. dre is close behind him. im pretty mainstream but i don’t care.

Participantbefore i come back to the topic… i have to say one more thing: i don’t care if he uses gangster speak in real life. this is an online forum that a lot of people come to and read regularly. its not a chat room, its not a private chat with your friend, it’s public communication. as such, it would be nice if people who choose to take the time to sign up and post would use language that is easily readable by the rest of the community. gangsta speak does not qualify.
that said.
meh. some of eminem’s earlier work is decent enough, some of it i dont like, some of it i can stand to listen to occasionally.

– “THIS IS MY TEXT”
– “ThIs iS mY tExT”
– “w00t th1s 1s my t3xt”We don’t appreciate that also. What about speaking Korean and Finnish on here? Should that be allowed then? M3rcy, you’re making a mistake here and that is to take this personally. It isn’t personal at all. This forum just has a standard of speaking (or at least trying to speak) correct English. 🙂

Memberhey. i dont mind the way he types. its hard to understand sometimes but its definelty readable. just go over it again. it takes less time than bitching about it when he obviously sint going to change. why bother with something that cant be changed tiger? just chillax.:D
on tupac, i havnt heard much of it and what i have heard, like most artists, some is good and some is bad. being a white, middle class, australian i can’t relate to what he is saying at all but musicialy, i like his song, changes.
on homeboy, you seem to be just another try hard gangster. i have a picture of you in my mind when i read ur posts, i could be way off or i could be close. i respect you though mate, keep posting **** and i may have to join the mainstream however. just put some more substance into what your saying.
c’arnman.

Memberi enjoy a lot of jay-z albums. i only really listen to rap, hip hop, or R&B when i’m in a party or workout mood. i listen to that kind of stuff when i’m driving in the car. and i also listen to it when i get ready to go out and party. they play stuff like this at all the clubs and parties nowadays. so it grows on you. well me, at least.
50 cent is also high on my list. i like a few songs, i don’t have any of his albums. like i said..they are the two artists that i prefer to listen to when getting in the party mood.
April 25, 2005 at 4:37 pm #120292m3rcy
MemberI agree with this sort of music appearing a lot more on the party scene. Its at most partys a go to nowadays.
50 cent has also been very popular. Especially the song by The Game; This is how we do.
