Emotions dont appear

Hi,

I have been having a problem in the last few weeks where emotions in my friends names dont appear !

They appear in my name and in text in a conversation but will not show up in a contacts name.

Eg a conversation would look like this

Chris 😉 : Hi
Greg 😛 : Hi

Anyone else got this problem ? Anyone got a fix ?

PS. I have Win XP with updates and service packs

IE 6

i’m having this very same problem! 🙁 I also have Messenger plus! 2, and ever since i got it, the emoticons haven’t been appearing. can somebody help? 🙂

wait a minute; i fixed it. on your messenger plus, go to the prefrences and then go to custom names. uncheck the box that asks if you want to use custom names or not, then i think that should do it. if you weren’t using custom names, then i don’t know what the crap is wrong.
