i am the king of orange. if you’ve known me (in person) for more than a day, you’ll find out how awesome orange is.
I believe…William was the King of Orange 😉 … Anyway…I’ve always liked BLUE which is probably what attracted my gaze to this site over others at first. 😀 Then I stayed for the content…:D
EDIT: PS…I LOVE BLUEBERRIES AND EAT THEM WHEN I CAN!! Though…they are not completely blue when they’re fresh..they are still a yummy blue food. And what about blue Sweet Tarts, Pixie Sticks and Fizzie sweets?? COME ON…Blue is YUMMY too!

If you see food or drink that is blue, you will simply not have a craving for it. Even if it’s on a blue plate, you probably will eat less of it.
Well, I got that far (except that I didn’t have a chique name for it ;))… but why on earth is that so?
November 6, 2004 at 4:51 pm #103863QuiksilverMemberCould it be that food isn’t naturally blue? We’ve never seen any natural (except for blueberries) food that’s blue. Ketchup also had yellow and green. Did those colors sell? I liked the green but my mom was disgusted my eating green ketchup (I must admit…it was kind of odd).
Isn’t blue one of the most common eye colors in the world? That could be some reason. So let’s put our heads together and think what food other than blueberries is naturally blue?
Oreo: From that post I interpret your a candy lover? All unnaturally blue though.
David: We were just learning about the colors and the whole ROY G BIV thing. The electromagnetic spectrum works this way: On the left side is the longest wavelength and on the right side is the shortest resulting in higher frequency and energy. So actually blue has a shorter wavelength than most other colors because it is that 5th color in the rainbow. Violet has the shortest wavelength of the visible colors.

And actually, if you want to get technical about food and color, notice how people have trouble eating yellow and some green foods? There’s a theory that it’s because animal instinct says not to eat moldy food, and what color is mold? Green and yellow. I personally loathe the color yellow. I think it’s the most disgusting color ever, and don’t even think about mixing the two…it’s like…baby poop green and such. *shudder*
And I like blue too, and actually all my dishes in my apartment are white and blue. *tilt* Where do you think, if thats true, they came up with “The blue plate special” in restaurants. Hmmm…

November 15, 2004 at 7:33 pm #103865gossipingraeMemberi love green. not just any green. the original color green in a box of crayons. yep, that specific lol.
we were talking about the significance of color in my rhetorical criticism class last week. purple is (or maybe used to be, I dont know) the color of royalty and wealth in the old days. if you wore purple it showed that your family is wealthy. green, the color of wealth. ha, go figure, me liking green! I cant remember some of the other colors discussed, I was looking at the clock lol.
i’m not sure if these colors are just a view from the ppl of the USA, because i’m thinking…not every country’s currency is green like ours! so i’ll have to ask my prof.
November 16, 2004 at 1:10 pm #103844sweetkissesMemberI love white… as well as blue, pink, brown, green, red and many more. It was difficult to choose one but I chose white.

December 14, 2004 at 5:22 am #103872AqeelParticipantColour can trigger an emotion. Blue and white, the colours depicting the element of energy, youth, sophistication and optimism
December 14, 2004 at 5:40 am #103856RabidKittenParticipantWhite and black technically aren’t concidered colors, they’re Neutrals. Black results from the absence of color or light. White is a combination of all colors in light.
And also, the emotions and such that colors trigger are different for every person, even though there are more traditional aspects to colors, there are always exceptions. Like in paganism, yellow is supposedly the color of change, happiness and victory. I loath the color yellow. In my mind it is associated with mold, decay, overbearingness, and generally being glaring and a show off.
So really, there are all kinds of meanings for colors…
December 14, 2004 at 6:02 am #103858colinMemberMy mom bought pink butter one time, and everyone refused to eat it. I think it was 6 months+ before anyone threw it out, it was just sitting there, staring at us every time we opened the fridge. Next time my mom buys strang-colored food, its straight to the garbage.
December 14, 2004 at 8:04 am #103866gossipingraeMembercolin, I bet that “pink butter” is that brummel and brown half- yogurt, half- butter thing. it was probably “accented” with strawberry flavoring or whatnot. lol I had it once…it was pretty good on toast.
