MemberYES!!…the wait is over…Mozilla have finally release Firefox 1.0 today! Everyone who have a older version of FF should upgrade now.
Their server is being killed right now, so if you would like..you can use Mozilla’s offical Bittorrent site to download the Installer here:
http://bittorrent.mozilla.org:6969/
Or you can go to their website at:
http://www.mozilla.org for direct download.
I have just got 1.0 and I am very happy. Very very fast, stable and everything you want from a browser. Get it today!:)

MemberI got 1.0 this morning (before the server started getting hammered)… It works great so far.. Although now most of my extensions don’t work.. and I have to either wait for updates, or wait for mozilla server to start working normally to get them back.

MemberYeah, I just finished downloading it. Too bad most extensions aren’t compatible yet.

Participantfinally… i’ve been waiting… some things about the 1.0PR i’ve got right now just dont work (like I cant click some links, notably the different types of google searches – cant click “images” for example)
hopefully those will be fixed in this version. now just to wait for the compatible extensions i’ve grown to love.

KeymasterIs this really worth downloading? Is it a better alternative to Internet Explorer? and what’s with this file extension’s not working now. What’s that about?

yes. it is, by far. I absolutely HATE using IE…. its unstable (i’ve only had firefox crash a few times, compared to IE crashing almost every time I attempt to use it), its less functional, and its a memory hog.
i use IE when absolutely necessary, but I can never go back to using it fulltime

I never really got into Firefox before but I figured I’d give it another shot. I would say it is definitly better than IE. So far I haven’t used IE since downloading it. As for the extensions, it’s not file extensions, it’s the extensions for firefox, like plug-ins. They just add more options functions etc. Some of them haven’t been updated for the new release yet.

KeymasterI just installed it and tried it as well. It looks pretty cool and runs smooth. I haven’t encountered that google image problem that was mentioned.
By the way can you move things around? I’ve been trying to figure out how. Like move the address bar or the Google/Yahoo/etc search bar on the top right?
Edit: Don’t I feel dumb. heh. Thanks ladie_venomm. You Rock!

MemberYea just right click on the navigation toolbar and hit customize. Then you will be able to move things around and add other buttons or take some off.
