I was going to try and get it up today. But now I have had it with my host. I rent a dedicated server and for some odd reason they felt like taking 2 of my harddrives out today. So it may be another week

Well im paying for a dedicated server in texas which has a 100Mbit uplink. I have full control of the server and can do pretty much whatever I want with it. Anyways ill prob. just get another server and cancel my current one
No such thing as unlimited bandwidth.
yea so true, because they get there servers from data centers like http://www.theplanet.com and you have to pay for the bandwidth. I have 1000GB of bandwidth a month right now and 2 80gb harddrives which is good enough for me.
The host claims unlimited, but I think they assume people won’t use much. Many gigs of files would often be some kind of illegal content – it’s not easy to use massive amounts of storage legitimately.

bronxy is definately correct… there is no host better than http://www.elixant.com/
i’ve been using it for a few years and only experienced a few hours of downtime and that wasn’t their fault but the problem was with the company hosting the servers.
