how queasy! our company has a powerful firewall. the admin forbid us using IM. I keep fighting with them.all the connection need through the inner proxy except the usage of outlook.
1. i use the tunnel soft to logon the msn etc, and google talk, yahoo can logon by themselves. later the tunnel was stopped by the admin.
2.now maybe the admin update the router, the gtalk ,gmail, msn, webmessenger, http://www.gtalkr.com,meebo, e-messenger are all banned.
3.and the httptunnel , socktohttp etc,cannot be used also.i have tried gaim, psi, trillian, but all failed.
4.any website whick has some plugins cannot be opened.
5.but i can logon yahoo messenger, click “my yahoo” on yahoo messenger, then one page was openned ,through one link ,i can logon the website
6.all is these ,anyone can helpme to use the googletalk or mail.If your company does not want you to use any IM software (Which, by the looks of it, they really don’t), then you shouldn’t fight it. They’ve probably done it for good reason, and breaking past the firewall could be argued as illegal activity in some cases.
