ParticipantOH YEA BABY, I can’t wait until the movie, it looked awesome… and I agree, he has got to know how to defeat Voldemort, and hopefully Dumbledore told Harry all he wanted/needed too.

ParticipantWell Dumbledore said, errrg I can’t remember the how it started, but it ended something like, “…and we haven’t been able to keep a DADA teacher for more than a year since.”

MemberWell, I finished the book a few days ago but havn’t had chance to post yet… I enjoyed it but it seemed a little to similar to the last few to be honest. I’m pretty glad that Harry’s not going back to Hogwarts because it’ll make the last book very different to the others.
I sort of expected Dumbledore to die really. I think the point is that he’s told Harry everything he needs to know to defeat Voldermort. I didn’t expect Snape to kill him though… I’d gone through the previous books always suspecting Snape and decided that this time, I wasn’t going to bother. 😛
Even though I like the books, I’ve never liked the films. I’ve seen the first two and I thought they missed out too many bits of the books and were a bit boring really… I never bothered watching the third one.

MemberWell I read it a while ago, but seeing as ive just got back from holiday i’ve not had chance to post… anyway I thought it was fairly good, much better than the traversty which was book 5, and much more tightly plotted…

MemberI finished it, as well (join the club, I know), and I must say I enjoyed it much more than I would have expected.
Harry not going back to Hogwarts will DEFINATELY make the next, or last book very interesting. I’m also glad that Ron and Hermione decided to stick with him, as well, what’s a Harry Potter book without them?
I, on the other hand, enjoyed the films. Rowling does such a good job painting a picture in your mind when you read, then to see it actually happen is very cool.

I think tonight I might watch the film(s). I have nothing to do and it will refresh my memory for the 4th movie coming out this November (long ways away but whose to say I won’t watch them again?).
