Someone help me please! 😮 All of a sudden my AIM started acting up and won’t let me sign on. Every time it just says AIM service can’t be reached, but my internet connection works. I am not sure what’s going on. I tried uninstalling and re-installing AIM and even tried installing DeadAIM. Can someone, anyone help me?? 🙁

If you are connecting through a proxy try opening IM… clicking on settings… then connections (it is on the bottem of that page)… then click on auto-configure. Then click ok four times and try to sign in again.
I too am having the same problems, except that once I get signed on, I’m on for about 5 minutes before I am signed off again. I took your advice, but it didn’t help at all.
Wait it out. Just chill out. Their servers may be down and if you keep trying to connect, it makes it worse.

Well in that case, email them. They won’t answer most likely though. Read their FAQ, it might ACTUALLY be helpful. (AOL helpful is an oxymoron)

this is happening to one of my screen name. i can sign on with the others but not one of mine. my friends tried to sign on it for me but it didnt work for them either. AIM, you suck.
I am not getting signed in on one name now but other names work fine. I don’t get this either, This only started about 10 mins ago.
