I am implementing a new feature in Online Status Indicator that lets you click on a web link and send a message. If you use the MSN Messenger client, please click on the link below and let me know if it works to send a message to me.
Running Windows Messenger on XP, I tried clicking this link. This time I saw a web page with the text “Sending a message to tony…….@hotmail.com” Looks promising, but I also noticed there was a Javascript error on the page. Here’s the exact error message:
Hope this helps!
The script is currently only working with MSN Messenger 4.7.
Have to figure out how to get this working in version 5.0.
I am working on getting this to work MSN Messenger 5.0 as well as 4.x versions.
Please try http://status.webhop.net/msntest.html and post the results together with which version you use here.
Just thought I should let everyone know that I got this working with both 5.0 and 4.x versions of MSN Messenger. It is implemented in the latest versions of Online Status Indicator.
