ParticipantI had noticed that everything was running slower for brief moments, and no, its mblast, its yahoo messenger. sysfader and ypager.exe have burst up to 99% of my cpu and even if I am not live its still doing it.
I had uninstalled messenger then installed it again, now its even more frequent than before. Short of throwing the piece of s**t out altogether, how can I fix this.

Memberit also could be the fact your cpu is running to fast or getting to hot. Also you might want to check to make sure all your fans in your computer are running properly. Also make sure the power surge in the back of computer where the main fan is is running properly, try taking the lid off computer and cleaning the inside real good.

Memberwell Flying I think the porblem is related to Memory Usage and Processor Usage… Cooling solutions wont help it…
nways Axces, try getting some Ram Booster software Like Alto Memory Booster… I think they can help you top some extent…September 13, 2003 at 7:24 am #55776need more input
MemberMemory, Hard Drive speed and capacity, as well as several other factors may be the problem. Try cleaning your registry and optimizing your hard drive. Cookies won’t cause any problems but it’s good to clean out your cookie and internet casche at least once a week. If it only happens at certain times and not others then I would suggest getting a good firewall, Yahoo chat rooms are not a very safe place to be hanging around unprotected. Hacker intrusion will definately jam up your ststem if your running an older computer.

Membercorrect me if i am wrong but mblast.exe, isn’t that the blast worm that has been making computers everywhere crawl, and then die? i am thinking the same for sysfader, of course my hacked to bits copy of lamedows is kinda beefed up so it only runs a common window. my advice is to get an update for your anti-virus and if it doesn’t come back dirty look up the individual files on microsft, the have a directory of files if i am not mistaken. the best advice i can give is run more ram and run a ram disk and move you cookies and downloaded crap onto it, if you have no clue how to do it, don’t attempt it. windows registry editing is for ppl who know what they are doing.

Membergatekeeper u may be right but if axcess is using NT based OS… ie Win NT, 2000 or XP as blaster attacks the NT based OS’s only… but blaster is the cause for Blocking Internet access… as far as I know… nways its better to update ur Antivirus

MemberAlso don’t forget performance has alot to do with the Operating System in direct relation with the processor speed and amount of RAM. If you’re running a fast processor with lets say 128Megs of RAM on the XP operating system. Chances are your system will be slow due to XP using a whole bunch of RAM. Also check how many programs are running at the same time. If you have a whole bunch of applications running that will suck up your resources as well. You also might want to check your memory resident programs. To do so hit CTRL + ALT + DEL on any windows operating system to bring up the “System Tray”. If you have a huge list of programs/applications running those will eat up a crap load of memory.
