I heard somewhere that you can mask you hotmail email address with a fake one. I was wondering if it would be possible to do that? I would like to play a trick on some of my friends but not send them bad things. But that would be cool though:D
Yes, this is possible with Outlook Express’s Hotmail support. Just enter a different e-mail address on the ‘General’ tab of the account properties. Do not do this on the ‘Server’ tab also!

I’ve tried looking for where the ‘Hotmail Properties’ window that you have a picture of, but I can’t seem to find where it is  …I’d apprechiate if you let me know how to find it…thanks.
In Outlook Express under ‘Tools’, choose ‘Accounts’. Then simply request the properties for the hotmail account.
Whoa… Thank you Hyperbyte, I didn’t know it would be that simple. When I did a search a while back, some people posted that in order to mask your hotmail address is by going to port whatever and do this and that, god knows what the hell this guy was talking about. It just seemed so complicated lol.
I will try that Hyperbyte
Well if you can do this with hotmail why can’t you do it with yahoo?
and when you mask it how come some of the features such as block sender are greyed out . You can’t use it on the hotmail account through outlook but when I use my outlook address I can ????
