i have added a nick into my profile from yahoo messenger. it shows when i type any messg in front of my messg. but not to my buddy. so now i want to remove it but it asks me to give name in it unless dont allows me to close the contact window.. is there any other way to remove my all contact info.??I think what you are asking is how you delete a sub ID. You must log into your account under your main id, then click on account information, then add/edit profiles. The next screen will tell you all your ID’s and give you the option of deleting it.

Actually I believe he is referring to the “edit contact info” under the Login Menu. There is no way to delete what you already have unless you replace it.
yes browneyes.. u r right.
i m searching for that one exactly.. but u said that there is no possible way to remove that info once added.:( does that means if somebody adds something to it by mistake then he has to face that and cant do anything.??
most troubling thing is that even if i chat with different profile the info i added comes in that too.. its very confusing to me..can someone help me out.. plz..:(
The contact info will show up no matter what if you’re using subprofiles under your original yahoo profile. If you want something brand new then create a whole different yahoo name/account and don’t add contact info.
I’m not understanding why this is a big deal, you can’t see it unless you use the always use nickname in appearance and if it bothers you that much then type in your screenname.

u told me atleast something which can solve my purpose …
as u said to remove checkbox from nicknames in appearance.. by doing it i make myself restore the original id but there is another problem rising up … the whole list of my buddies whome i have given nicks and info has also been changed to there original ID:(
any suggestions for this:confused:
