KeymasterBlocking users is a feature that allows you to prevent an annoying or harrassing person from bothering you. It’s not the sort of thing you want to disable or workaround, otherwise all the annoying and harrassing people would be working around it!

That said, there are a couple ways to find out if a friend is blocking you. First, you can ask them. Since MSN Messenger uses an email address as the user ID, send them an email and ask them if they are blocking you. If they truly are your friend, they should tell ya.
If they aren’t really your friend, you might be able to “trick” them into finding out. Setup a new MSN Messenger account (they’re free) using a name that they won’t suspect is yours. Check your “real” MSN Messenger buddy list when you think they should be online. Make sure they aren’t in your list, the logout and log back in, this time with your new, “fake” MSN name. Then send them a message saying something like, “did you send me a message earlier?” Most people will reply, even if it’s just to say “no.” If they do reply, then you know that they really are online, and are blocking you.
But if someone really wants to block you, why would you want to chase after them anyway?

Memberjeff,
promoting the method of finding out who blocked u by using alien passport is not such a good idea….. now u will ask y??
i will tell ya y…..
if people start creating new accounts, there will be many useless accounts just used for one or two emails(usually with msn messenger)…… and also if these accounts will take up more space in the Hotmail servers. if this happens, HOTMAIL will start charging for new email accounts and maybe for the existing too…… think about it…VaderX
(P.S. no offence to anyone, besides this is just a suggestion…. dont get angry!)

MemberHi all,
There are too many ways to know if someone has blocked you or not. There is no need to get a new account or so. I can tell one way but since I am at work, I am not gonna be able to explain it right now. I also have a program that by putting just the email address in a box and clicking on check, it’ll tell you the status of the person whether he/she is online or offline. I am not going to put the program cuz it might make people hate one another. Anyhow, I hope when I get home after work, I can post the first way of knowing if someone has blocked you or not. However, I am not putting the program here because I am not sure if I am allowed to or not.

ParticipantMmm..
Swifty already knows he’s blocked though….
There is a way… which I’m obligated by my own sanity not to tell since it’s kinda illegal. As for _finding_[/b] out if you’re blocked or not, check out this thread.

Membermy policy is that if the person really has a good reason to not wanna talk to me, then i shud just leave them alone until they feel they can unblock me! if they do it for sum immature reason, then im glad to not have to be associated wif such punks!
