DeadGerl
MemberI don’t understand how, but my nickname is “dead gerl”. A lot of my friends say it’s because my skin is so pale, and usually, well most of the time, when someone dies your skin turns really, really pale. If not, people at the Morgue will do your make-up so it makes you look pale.
I don’t see how I’m really pale, but whatever. I stick with it ’cause I like it. What about you?

ParticipantGreat idea DeadGerl 🙂
I am a total fanatic when it comes to the movie and tv shows: ‘The Fugitive’
—you can learn more about them here: http://www.dr-richard-kimble.com —I have always thought of myself a little like Dr. Richard Kimble in that I am not like everyone else, I have my own secrets, and am ”different”, ( as most of the folks here could tell you I am sure:P ). Dr Kimble is a role model to me, even though he is a fictitious character (based on a true story), in that despite his own problems and concerns, he still helps others whenever he can. So I decided for my online identity to be Dr Kimble. Especially on forums…help forums :). I have always had a sort of “obsession” with ‘The Fugitive’ since I first saw the movie when I was nine or ten. And it has only grown with time 🙂

MemberMy nickname on forums is Red Devil, because my favourite football team, Manchester United (see avatar), are known as the Red Devils.

May 4, 2004 at 2:32 pm #80114Brian
MemberBrian is my given middle name, I know probably is a boring nickname to use on boards! 🙂
Anyway, ‘The Fugitive’ series was shown on Nickelodeon (TVLand) over the week-end. I remember the series when I was a real small boy, I also had ‘The Fugitive’ comic magazines. 🙂
May 4, 2004 at 5:03 pm #80111Jeff Hester
KeymasterUmmm… My name is Jeff (how dull is that?!).
Although my Yahoo nickname is ReallyOldBastard, and that has a story behind it. I used to work for a dot-com startup in the late 1990’s. We worked long hours; usually until 10 or 11pm each night (sometimes longer). But we also had fun. Most nights around 6pm we’d take a break for dinner and played Quake on the LAN. Everyone had a player name: Spidey, Puta, BlackAdder, etc.
At 37, I was at the time the oldest guy on the engineering team, so I went with “Old Bastard.” (I’m not above a little self-depricating humor).
When signing up for Yahoo! Messenger, I just carried it over. Old Bastard was taken, so I stepped it up a notch and went with ReallyOldBastard.

MemberHaha. It wasn’t MY idea, it was my friends idea.. And I had nothing else to put at the time, so I just put DeadGerl.
May 4, 2004 at 9:25 pm #80138Crazy Penguin
MemberI choose the nickname crazy penguin because, well im obsessed with penguins and since most people who meet me think i’m crazy it seemed to fit……
(BTW, despite what you may think I am NOT crazy, just special)
As to why I am obssessed with penguins, well that would be Red Devils fault for starting an arguement with me about a penguin with a pen or a rocketlauncher, or as the board has concluded, a pen launcher rocket thing…..
May 4, 2004 at 9:35 pm #80118Someguy03
MemberI had a bag of goldfish crackers, and spilled them all over the ground. Then I started stepping on them and some people in my math class started calling me goldfishkiller. Also, I got about 10 fish from a Halloween Carnival and they all died the next day. My screename started out as a joke and its became my main screename.

…because I am sneaky! Sneaky like ninja!
May 5, 2004 at 12:32 am #80115David
ParticipantWell, my name is Dave…and ‘Dave’ was taken, so I went with ‘David’, I feel that it is pretty original. 😉

May 5, 2004 at 3:24 am #80130Hasan
MemberHasan is my name and Gilly is my nickname.
When I was couple of years old my grand mother used to show me a picture of cats and used to say ‘Billy’ which means cat in urdu language since I couldn’t pronounce it correctly so I called it ‘Gilly’ and she started calling me that since then and all of my relatives started using the same word.
This nickname was quite dead for years and I brought it back with release of first version of my MSN client and people again know me as Gilly.

It’s a sad story how I got that name. I guess I was making accounts for services and couldn’t think of a screename for anything, but someguy03 was there in my head. So I just used that. Later I found it was from one of my brothers accounts “som3guy.” Lol it didn’t go over well with him, but I get to keep it since he has 3 aliases.
