MemberI’m using a bot I created at Padora Botmaster. I need it to be in one chat room at all times, 24/7. How can I get it into the chat?

MemberWhat exactly is this bot supose to do, and if its not running on a shell, your comp has to be on 24/7 for it to be on 24/7

MemberWell, in AOL chats…bans only last as long as the chat lasts. So, I just want a bot in a chat room, so all bans last forever. I don’t want the bot to say anything. Just…stay in the chat.

MemberSimply clone AOL and keep him on a box that you don’t reboot often?

You need to get a computer, It doesn’t need to be good…..166mhz, 128MB ram, and put Windows 2000 on it (Win2k is the most reliable and stable OS). Then you might want a UPS so the bot doesn’t leave if the power goes out.

If we’re going to talk about stability, the word windows should NOT be in there unless it is following a ‘not’. Your best bet is to install RedHat 7.3 a dist. of linux and to setup a gaim client that will be there 24/7.

Most users are more familiar with Windows Based OS’s and the Standard AIM Client, but you are correct…
