MemberHi my name is Thomas.. and I’m new to the boards.. anyway
My girlfriend used:
%SystemRoot%System32rundll32.exe setupapi,InstallHinfSection NetMtg.Remove 132 msnetmtg.inf
but when it came time to use that inf file to install, which she took off her own winxp home disc- it says “installation failed” no excuse or anything.
I have her installing IE6 right now, I hope that does it.. if not.. I really dont know what else to try.. formatting is not an option, unfortunately.
does /ANYONE/ have any thing to help me with?

Maybe a long-shot, but has she tried downloading NetMeeting from Microsoft, and installing?

Windows Service Pack Disk? That should be your Windows CD (You must have WinXP v2002 SP1), Insert that and it should continue.

MemberI have been having problems with my netmeeting on my windows xp home edition computer. It was eating up my system resources and the only thing I could do was power computer off and then turn it back on. My computer is a sony vaio. I found out on microsofts web page how to uninstall it and it had the instructions on how to reinstall it also. But when I go to reinstall it off of the recovery cd’s that sony provides I can not find it. There are six recovery cds for the system. I have checked microsofts web page and found both the netmeeting 3.0 and resource kit but they are for every other version of windows except xp. Does anyone know if netmeeting 3.01 for xp is anywhere on microsofts web pages or on sony’s recovery cd or web page or if there is a web page where it can be downloaded from. HELP and THANKS

MemberFor all that have uninstalled netmeeting and are trying to get it back! Maybe you could try a windows restore point to a time earlier before you uninstalled. I was messing around uninstalled it and got it back with the windows restore.

MemberFor some reason unknown! On windows xp you can’t reinstall netmeeting. I went to the microsoft webpage and tried. I think bill wants you to try out the new windows messenger.
