I’m not really an expert at this stuff with servers, etc. All I know is I have the status.jar file. And I have some webspace on a free site, which I think can run as a server, since I do not keep my computer on 24/7. I uploaded the status.jar file onto my online webspace. Now what do I do to get it up and running?
Hey guess what, the site is back up. Well for now. You can find info abou it at http://www.onlinestatus.org/hosting.html
Ummm…..I don’t really see much information on the site to help me setup the OSI. I need like a newbie guide or somethin. I got the “status.jar” file and uploaded it to my webspace…now what?
Have you looked at the readme.txt yet or at least the FAQ about Hosting?
This can be done in one of the following two ways:
1. Use the imagefolder described in readme.txt
2. Place your own aimonline.gif icqoffline.gif etc in the same folder as status.jar
Okay….so i have to upload Java Virtual Machine to my webspace also? I’m not running OSI from my computer….im using a free hosting site. So can someone please tell me what to do after I have uploaded status.jar to my web space.
I doubt that a free web hosting site will let you run Java programs.
I doubt that a free web hosting site will let you run Java programs.
So does that mean you cannot run programs including java, virtually?
