everytime im in a chatroom someone crashes my AIM by sending all these IM pops up/ chat invite/ and others ……….. is there a way to stop them??
or how would i do that back to them……….
Open up AIM, go to preferences–>IM Chat and then under “Chat Room window” uncheck “Block all incoming Chat invitations.”
thxs that takes care of the chat invites but wat about those IM pop ups and some others……..
is there a way i can get them back?
For the IM pop-ups there really isn’t away to get rid of them from poping up on your screen. but again if u go under preferences->IKM Chat->IM Window and click “Show ‘Accept Message’ dialog for messages from users not in buddy list”, that will give u the option to accept or reject the Instant Message from that user. is that what u wanna know?
I think you mean that people are flooding you. I believe there is a patch out somewhere to prevent this. they are messing up ur aim by over flowing your server with messages. Its so much aim cant talk it and aim resorts to locking up.
Savage what you would like to do is to go back into preferences to make it so only users on your buddylist can IM you.

Click OKThat takes care of IMs now as well. If he continues to try and punt you from the chat well then you just reply here back to me and I will show you even how to take care of that as well using PyBoticide! Its a chatroom filter for AIM using Python code.
