Alright here is the way to do this, and yes this is very detailed so you shouldn’t get confused! This took me very long to do, so sorry if it’s not the best show of screenshots ever. *Note* BigBlueBall is not responsible if you somehow make an error and can’t change your language back to English**

**If you get any error pages along the way just hit go back and try again. (But if you get too many errors while trying to add symbols, just try going back to english, log out and log in, then try again.) And keep in mind that NOT all symbols work.
Also at the end once you hit finish your profile might look like an error, but just use the usual way you use to view your profile and it’ll be correct.
Or use http://profiles.yahoo.com/big.blueball (Just replace big.blueball with your yahoo id).
I’ve never really wanted to do this, but you’ve made it so easy to follow, it’s tempting. And I KNOW there are a lot of people who will LOVE this tutorial. Great post, hatedjealousy! (reps up)
Ha, before i even take the thanks i was testing the profile nickname changes and it appears that you don’t even have to change the language to add symbols. Yahoo! apparently is allowing you to now add symbols to your nickname with no trouble at all!
So ignore all my steps! 😛
