Hyperlink opened with a different browser

When i click on a link in a persons profile it opens up with Internet explore, even though i set another browser as the default browser. does anyone know how to make it open up with the other browser and not internet explore? thanks.

Are you sure the other browser is set as default? Mine always opens with my default browser whenever I change it.

Or maybe some spyware/virus/etc. is changing your settings secretly.
